The place-based pedagogy that is provides a strong foundation for the Queensland OEEC sector's educational work is founded on research-evidenced principles outlined in work such as the articles found in our 'Research' folder here.
PEEC's unique approach to teaching and learning also draws on the work of drama-pedagogs including Dorothy Heathcote, John O'Toole and Julie Dunn. Our 'Storythread Pedagogy' has been the subject of honors theses and PhD research, including that of the Centre's founding principal Dr Ron Tooth (read an excerpt of his and Dr Peter Renshaw's work here).
