A Storythread experience for Kindergarten students

Blanket Role: Nature Kids

We are very excited to welcome your kindergarten students to our program 'Play and Learn with Pogo'!  We wish to extend our gratitude to the First Nations Elders who have generously shared their time and wisdom to assist us in the development of this program.

Nature Kids spend time playing and exploring outside

We invite your children to step into the Blanket Role of a Nature Kid for the day as they engage with our story 'There's a Platypus in my Backpack' and meet the character of Pogo who invites them to explore and play together in nature. The day's activities are designed to build your children's connection to nature, increase wellbeing, and grow an understanding of First Nations wisdom through song, story, art, exploration and play.

Play and Learn with Pogo aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring that 'all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life'. At PEEC, children participate in activities designed to explore positive interactions between themselves, each other and place in a warm and inclusive learning environment.
