Blanket Role: Connected Leaders
This worshop guides senior primary students through nature-based, drama and visual art activities that facilitate self-reflection on their strengths and areas for growth as Connected Leaders and role-models within their communities, and on how continuing nature-connection can help them to continue to develop in these. Up to 30 students can attend the program per day.
The program can be run as a 'team-building' workshop for senior students new to 'formal' positions of leadership at your school (Student Council, House and/or School Captains), or (over several days) for your cohort of Year 5 and/or 6 students, as an opportunity to encourage all senior students to develop and own their leadership capability. If booking for a cohort of year 5s, we would recommend requesting dates in term 3 or 4; for year 6, we recommend term 1 or 2.

This program is available throughout the year, subject to venue and teacher availability (please note that term 3 is our least 'available' term due to other program demands – it is worth considering requesting dates for the first half of term 1 or for term 4 as these are our most 'available' annual periods and most likely to be able to be efficiently confirmed for you).
The program takes place at the Pullenvale Environmental Education Centre, with a site visit to Pullenvale Forest Park (Pullen Pullen Creek). Students will walk to Pullen Pullen creek – a 10 minute walk – although visiting classes can book their bus to stay during the day for the short trip as needed (at class teacher discretion). Please also inform your facilitating PEEC Teachers of this requirement upon arrival. See Maps and Transport for location details.
