Giving Back to Karawatha Forest

We always love working with our year six students at the beautiful Karawatha forest, but this year has felt particularly special as we’ve been doing something very exciting…planting trees!

Every class who has joined us as we ‘Wander the Way of the Water’ has planted a native species, totalling 21 new trees this t​​erm. Our students have loved engaging with this activity, commenting on how special it is knowing that their tree will contribute to the beautiful habitat, creating more food and shelter for the native wildlife.

We want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Bernice Volz, Karawatha Forest Protection Society Inc and Brisbane City Council for helping us make this possible.

And of course, another huge thank you to the amazing schools who have joined us for this program this year: Ferny Grove State School, Greenbank State School, Mitchelton State School, Moggill State School, Bethania Lutheran School​ and Pullenvale State School.​
