We recently had the privilege of working with the Nature Play Ambassadors from Fig Tree Pocket State School to grow their skills as advocates for nature play. Over two days, here at PEEC and at their school, we looked at different leading styles, the benefits of nature play and fun ways to engage with the environment!

We had so much fun working with these passionate leaders and loved hearing about what nature play means to them. We can't wait to see what they get up to next in their beautiful nature play area!

In the meantime, we hope you enjoy their collective writing on what they love about their place:

This place is special to us because of the freedom we have to do whatever we want here.
Nature lets us play with it, share with it;
The plants, trees and water.
There is so much to move and play with here -
A space to be creative, build teamwork, see what we can do together...
To watch the way the water moves in the creek;
Suddenly stopping and starting again,
The ebb and flow.
I like the mud balls I can make from the bank, sticky and smooth in my hands...
There are so many sticks to play with, to build something with...
I love the inclusivity down here; people play with those they might not otherwise;
Community and collaboration,
Like when we share the climbing tree.
A chance to enjoy this place.
There is always something going on!
A place for friendship. A place to bring everybody.
