Happy World Bee Day!

We're so excited to celebrate our beautiful and diligent pollinators by welcoming a new Sugar Bag Beehive to PEEC. They already seem very happy at home exploring our gardens and becoming a valuable resource to enhance student learning.
We are so lucky in Australia to be home to over 2000 native bee species that have evolved over thousands of years to pollinate our unique native flora. Bees are a keystone species that play a vital role in keeping our ecosystems healthy and thriving and it's essential we provide habitat to support them in their hard work!
Why not say thank you by planting a local flowering plant, creating a bee hotel with native wood or building a bee bath to allow for a place to cool off and have a drink!
