We recently had the privilege of working with the whole year 1 cohort from Greenbank State School to deliver a customised literacy workshop linking to their unit on insects. Over 90 minutes, each class read the story 'The Bug Collector' with us and were then introduced to the character of 'Abby' who needed help understanding the importance of slowing down outside.
We were amazed at the levels of enthusiasm and curiousity shown by the students as they practices their attentiveness skills and explored the school grounds to make exciting discoveries!
This newly developed Literacy Incursion is designed to be delivered as a one-session exploration of themes within a nature-connected storybook, customisable for Junior Years (Prep - Yr 2), and is now available on request - please contact us for more information or to express interest in delivery for your students.
